HAMILTON - Dayle M. Anderson 78, of Hamilton passed away Wednesday February 4, 2015 at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. He was born February 25 1936 in Conrad, Montana, son of the late Leon and Frieda Anderson.

Dayle was raised in Conrad and graduated from Conrad High School in 1954. After graduating from Rocky Mountain College in 1958, he began his career with the U.S. Forest Service in 1960. Dayle moved to the Bitterroot Valley to help set-up the new education center at the Trapper Creek Job Corps. He worked as a teacher with a focus on Driver Education and Computer at the Job Corp Center. He retired in 1996 after 31 years of a long career at the Job Corp.

Dayle married his sweetheart, Barb, on March 11, 1961. They began their life together at Neihart, Montana. Summers were at the ranger station on Kings Hill. Adventures on the hill included lightning storms, delivering his first son in a car, and a bear helping drying the laundry.

Dayle was a member of the Masons, the Shriners, he served on the Advisory Board on Council on Aging, and an Elder and various roles at his church. Community service was a very important part of Dayle's life. In the past, he also served as a Civil Defense member and councilman for the City of Hamilton.

He enjoyed arts, crafts and computers. Dayle is known for his clocks, cards and many artsy creations. His family looked forward to his greeting cards.

Dayle is survived by his wife Barbara of Hamilton; brother, Marlen Anderson and wife Lorraine of Billings; children, including Chris Hermes married to Steve, Brian Anderson married to Barb, Mark Anderson married to Angie, David Kipp Anderson and Misty Lester; sister and brother-in-law, Jan and Buck Leonard of Green River, WY; grandchildren include Melissa married to Eli Hoaglund, Schuyler married to Amanda, Denika, Dakota, James, Sam, Victor, Chrissy married to Austin Veliz, Erica, Anthony, Austin, Brydan, Kammie, Kassidy, Keyia, Keegan, and Kenzee; great- grandchildren include Trinity, Taten, Harleigh, Anniah and Lily with three more great- grandchildren to arrive in 2015.

Flowers need to be limited, the family suggests that memorials be made to the First Presbyterian Church for their continued needs of the service to the community.
