DeLores (Stolz) Sorenson
DeLores Sorenson, 80 of Hamilton, Montana went to meet her Savior on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at the Marcus Daly Memorial Hospice Center in Hamilton.
DeLores was born at Parshall, N.D. on Feb. 24, 1929 to John and Anna Stolz. She spent most of her childhood at Van Hook, N.D., where she also received all her schooling.
Later she moved to Minnewaukan, N.D. and then to Devils Lake, N.D., where she worked and managed a fabric store. She also worked and managed fabric stores in Bismarck, N.D. On Aug 11, 1973, she married LeRoy Sorenson at Minnewaukan, N.D. they had been married for 33 years when LeRoy passed away in 2006.
DeLores was a member of Faith Lutheran Church; she was also a member of the Hospital Auxiliary and several Quilt groups. Her hobbies were sewing and making porcelain dolls.
She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy, parents, grandparents, one step-daughter, one step-son, one step-son-in-law, and three grandchildren.
She is survived by her six step-children, Eric (Dora) Sorenson, Kendal (Donna) Sorenson, Patric (Judy) Sorenson, Ann (John) Pate, Steve (Melinda) Sorenson, Jean Kelso; 11 grandchildren; a sister, Olivia (Mike) Danhauer; a brother, Allan (Marge) Stolz; and several nieces and nephews.
