HAMILTON - Dennis Lykins, 75, of Hamilton saddled up and headed down trail for his final ride on Wednesday, September, 23rd, 2015. He was born August 1940 to Jack and Dorothy Lykins, in Hamilton. He married the love of his life, Cheryl in July 1965. They had two wonderful children, Phyllis and Denny. He spent 40 years with the US Forest Service with the job of his dreams as a packer. He loved being outdoors, in his garden and woodshop. Spending time with his family was his top priority. He also enjoyed putting puzzles together in the winter. He will always have a special love for animals, especially his heeler, Ashley Ann and two kitties, Izzy and Snoopy.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl, of 50 years; brother, Pete; daughter, Phyllis; son, Denny (Shanyn); grandchildren, Jenna, Kasey, Kelsey, Samantha, Kallie, Tanner and Kara; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Lane, Bailee, Kaydence, Chase, Remi; numerous nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Dennis's Life for family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 2 pm at the Lykins home, 1713 Ward Lane, Hamilton. A potluck reception will follow.
He will be greatly missed and loved by all who had the pleasure to meet him.
