Hamilton - Diana Lynn Matson, 58, of Hamilton passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016 at the Intermountain Medical Center in Salt Lake City, UT. Diana was born April 25, 1958 in Virginia Beach, VA to James S. Cooley and Roberta (Price) Cooley.
Diana has lived in several states as her father was in the Navy. She graduated from Corvallis High School in 1976, and attended VoTech in Missoula where she met the love of her life, Wes Matson. They were married September 2, 1977 in Hamilton. One year later Wes and Diana were sealed for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She worked seventeen years helping manage her husband’s business, Hair With Style. Diana’s passion in life was her family. She was an extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. Diana expressed her love to friends and family by sharing her delicious foods and treats that came from her kitchen.
Diana was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served selflessly in many different callings. Through her service in the church she found many life-long friends.
Diana is survived by her husband Wes of Hamilton; daughter Mindy and her husband Benj Baumann of Las Vegas, NV; son, Bret and wife, Natalia Matson of Corta Madera, CA; and son Chad and wife, Kristen Matson of Missoula; 9 grandchildren; mother, Roberta Cooley of Corvallis; sister, Lee Ann and husband, Rob Sanville; brother, Jim Jr. and wife, Susie; aunt, Shirley Taylor (Auntie Shub) and cousins, nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the Hamilton LDS Church (corner of 8th and Pine) at 9:00 A.M. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 4 at 10:00am at Hamilton LDS Church. Interment will take place at the Corvallis Cemetery. A Reception will follow the committal service at the church in Hamilton.
