HAMILTON - Dixie Lee Page, 77, of Hamilton passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, at the Marcus Daly Hospice Center.
Dixie was the third of seven children born to Ileen and Norval Stewart. Dixie was born on Nov. 3, 1939 in Brookings, South Dakota.
Dixie moved to Hamilton in 1960 and resided in Hamilton until her death. Dixie moved to California for a brief time and while there met Mike Page. They were married shortly after on Dec. 28, 1969. Mike and Dixie had five children: Todd, Ashley, Michelle, Penelope and Mike. Mike and Dixie moved back to Hamilton and owned and operated the ‘Washette’ on Second St. Dixie was an excellent caregiver. She worked at the children’s home in Twin Bridges, and took care of the clients at Tammany Group Home in Hamilton for over 18 years prior to her retiring.
Dixie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Mike, son Mike, daughter Ashley, sister Barbara Sourbrine, and brother Norval, Jr.
Surviving Dixie are daughters Shelly at the family home; Penelope (Michael) Parsons and children Kate and Michael of Dorset, England; Todd (Gael) of Stevensville and their children Angelie Page, Heather (Frankie) Rodriguez and children, and Holly McVey and children of Missoula; Sisters Wanda Burkhart, Penney Stone and Pamela Stewart in Hamilton and brother William (Judith) Stewart in Corvallis. Also surviving Dixie are numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
