Donna Joyce Muscutt (Speelmon) was reborn into Jesus' presence on August 22, leaving her earthly family to continue her legacy.
She was greeted by those who preceded her in death including her parents William and Ruth (Strain) Speelmon, two infant sisters, two granddaughters, Ginger's newborn daughter Gina and Nancy's daughter Jennifer Temporado.
She will be greatly missed by her husband of 64 years, Bob Muscutt, her nine children, Donna (Jose Verastegui) from Parras, Coahuila, Mexico, Kristi (Rick Richey) of Hamilton, Doug (Joanne Mees) of Lolo, Nancy (Joe Buettner) of Phoenix, Arizona, Mary (Jim Hinds) of Stevensville, Julie (Jim Gillespie) of Helena, Billie (Keith Wallace) of Hamilton, Ginger (Shane Hayden) of Stevensville and Tom (Deborah Rocha) of Raleigh, North Carolina, 31 Grandchildren, 53 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren and numerous foster grandchildren.
Joyce was born in Ekalaka Montana on August 26, 1928, and then her family moved to Mud Lake, Idaho where her parents were some of the first settlers. Here she was raised and went to school with her 3 sisters, Billie (Nordstrom), Carol (Campbell) and Ginger (Schwendig). They helped out on the farm, milked cows, and rode horses to school even in Blizzards.
She went to High School in Idaho Falls and College in Bellingham, Washington where she met and later married Bob. They lived for a year in Bellingham, moving later to Idaho Falls where Bob worked as a Volkswagen Mechanic. In 1957 they moved to Stevensville, Montana where Bob had his own shop on Bell Crossing Road. Here not only did they raise their 9 children but also numerous exchange students (from Mexico). There was always a welcome and food for friends, extended family and everyone.
Joyce did the bookkeeping and kept house for her children, always providing for friends and visitors. They loved to dance, square dancing and round dancing, all over the valley, making lots of friends. In 1970 they moved to Hamilton until retirement and then back to Stevensville, where they lived on Foxy Lane.
There will be no formal services, family and friends are having several private gatherings to honor her memory.
