Donna Rae Standley Dahlgren

Donna Rae Standley Dahlgren, 80, of Clarkston, WA passed away on Sept. 25, 2023. She was taken home to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior and loving father and mother.

She was born and raised in Montana briefly living in Lewiston, Id as a young adult where she met her husband, Douglas Dahlgren. They have been married for 56 years and together raised three beautiful children: Kellie Mildenberger (Brett), Dane Dahlgren (Christina), and Victoria Harris. She was also blessed with 9 grandchildren: Chase Mildenberger (Polly), Vance Cleveland (Siena), Ryan Dahlgren (Vanessa), Chance Mildenberger, McKensey Dahlgren, Justin Dahlgren, Tanner Harris, Madison Harris and Dylan Dahlgren. Two great-grandchildren: Blake Cleveland and Mateo Esquivel Dahlgren. Also surviving are her brother and sister-in-law Ted and Jan Dahlgren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Francis Bryan Standley; mother, Ann M. Standley; in laws, Jerry and Norma Dahlgren; brother, Leroy Standley; sister-in-law, Marlene Standley; and sister Rosie Young.

Donna was a member of the Baptist Church where she found comfort and strength in her faith. She dedicated her life to her family and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother sharing her love of fun and laughter every chance she had. In her free time, Donna enjoyed painting, growing flowers which was her passion, fishing, and boating.

While living in Alaska, she became a kindergarten teacher on Long Island as well as a Temsco Airline guest service agent. Donna participated in various organizations such as Eastern Star where she served as the Worthy Matron, The Red Hat Society, the Hamilton Booster Club as well as in the classrooms of her young children.

A viewing is scheduled for Thursday, Sept 28th from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at the Daly-Leach Chapel.  Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept 29th at 11:00 am at the Daly-Leach Chapel, located at 1010 West Main St. Hamilton, MT with a reception following in the funeral home’s community room.  Interment will take place at Riverview Cemetery in Hamilton.

The family greatly appreciated the wonderful care Donna received at Hidden Meadow Memory Care.  In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request donations be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, the Humane Society/Animal Shelter or your charity of choice.
