Doris C. Wagner Moe, 92, of Hamilton passed away Thursday, January 06, 2011 at Discovery Care Centre. She was born October 26, 1918 in Miles City, MT the daughter of Harley and Monta Wagner.
- Doris was raised and educated in Forsyth, MT and graduated from Forsyth High School. She married Carl E. Moe on January 30, 1937 in Hamilton. Doris was a house wife, mother and grandmother. Together she and Carl always raised lots of vegetables and fruit to can.
- Doris and Carl lived in Charlos Heights until moving to Hamilton in 1953 where Carl worked at ranching and Doris began working for Kenny and Annie Robbins at Coast to Coast. Doris eventually retired after working for Tom and Sandy Evans. Doris spent several years running the agriculture building at the Ravalli County Fair. After retiring, Doris was awarded a Golden Life Time pass to the fairs, which she really enjoyed. Doris and Carl spent their retirement fishing, camping, dancing and wintering in Arizona.
- Doris was a member of the Good Sam Club, Boots and Calico Square Dance Club, Five Valley Accordion Club, The Golden Agers and the Bitterroot Mountettes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; her parents; and her brother, Raymond Wagner. Doris is survived by 4 daughters, Ethel Harris and husband Don of Victor, Elna Foust and husband John of Hamilton, Wilma Foley of Spokane, WA and Lois Hunter of Post Falls, ID; brothers, Harold Wagner of Salem, OR. And Warren Wagner of Yakima, WA; sisters-in-law, Vi Nelsen of Hamilton and Alice Yates of San Francisco, CA; 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
