Dorothy M. Sizer Roark, 94 of Hamilton passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the Village Health Care Center in Missoula.
She was born November 29, 1918 in Denver, CO. to Malcom and Augusta Sizer. The family moved to Hamilton , MT in 1922. On, Jan 4, 1939 she married Vern E. Roark. They had two daughters, Verna Marie and MaryLee. Dorothy worked for her father in the grocery store (Economy Foods) from early 1950's until it was sold in the 70's.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, a lifetime member of the Eagles Auxiliary, she loved playing games - mostly pinochle. She enjoyed watching sports on T.V. and most of all she loved time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vern; daughter, Verna Marie Raymond; son-in-law, Roy E. Raymond; parents, Malcom A. and Augusta Sizer; sister, Ethel Champlin; and brother, Malcom E. Sizer.
She is survived by her daughter, MaryLee (Michael) Piazza of Polson; grandsons, Brad (Ann) Pfau of Hayden, ID., Craig (Courtney) Piazza of Frenchtown, Kevin (Rebekah) Piazza of Stevensville; granddaughters, Renae (Cal) Bonander of Boise, ID., Valerie (Don) Schmidt of Missoula, Wendy (Gresham) Bouma of Viola, ID, Emily (Brock) McCabe of Laguna Niguel, CA; 18 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Hanson of Ramsay, MT., Betty Hassell of Riverdale, UT; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
The pallbearers are, Brad Pfau, Craig Piazza, Kevin Piazza, Cal Bonander, Don Schmidt, Gresham Bouma and Brock McCabe.
The family suggests memorials in Dorothy's name to the Hamilton First Presbyterian Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
