Ed Leibel

May 29, 1928 — February 7, 2014

Ed Leibel, 85 of Hamilton passed away on February 7, 2014 after months of sickness.
He was born May 29, 1928 to John and Eva Leibel in Hardin, Montana. He joined the Army during the Korean War, and during that time married Pat Boberg. This union gave birth to three children, Sandie, Mark and Scotty. After the war Ed and Pat lived in Bremerton, WA, where he worked for the Naval Ship Yard. They divorced and Ed later moved to Montana. He loved to dance and that's where he met Anna Heller and courted her until she finally gave into his proposals for marriage. Together they moved to the Corvallis area where they bought a place they groomed into a park like setting and lived there many years. The last years they sold and bought a house in Hamilton which was far less work to maintain.
Ed's passion was working on anything mechanical and bowling on senior leagues. Ed and Anna were members of the United Methodist Church and helped in many functions.
Ed was preceded in death by his Father and Mother and precious youngest child, Scotty. Those who knew Ed will remember his jokes and willingness to help if they needed help.
Survivors include his wife Anna of Hamilton; sister, Vivian (Keith) Ross of Polson; daughter, Sandie (Ron) Erickson of Stevensville; son, Mark (Debbie) of Tacoma, WA; step-chidren, Jackie and Charles Hanson of Wyoming; Ron Varbek of Clinton and Rich Verbek of Oklahoma; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ed passed away peacefully with his loving Anna and son-in-law Ron by his side. He will always be in our hearts and be missed lovingly.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the United Methodist Church in Corvallis.
Thank you Ed - See you in Heaven.
