Edgar William Campbell

June 1, 1914 — April 19, 2010

STEVENSVILLE - Edgar W. Campbell, a long time resident of Stevensville, passed away April 19, at the Bitterroot Valley Living Center. He was the fourth of five children born to Clarence (LeRoy) and Leah (Jensen) Campbell on June 1, 1914, in Lovelady, Texas.

Edgar was married to Blanche Howard on June 18, 1938 and she preceded him in death in June 1976. He was a graduate of Victor High School. During his life, he had many occupations, including ranch hand, milk route driver, and animal keeper at the U of M, but his favorite was as a logger. He was also preceded in death by his son, Richard Campbell in 2007, two sons who passed away in infancy; his son-in-law, Glen Sperry; a Grandson, Mark Sperry; all his siblings, Mark who was killed in WWII, Esther Stanley, Edith Campbell, and Kelly Campbell. Edgar is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Harold (Jeanette) Campbell of Kennewick,

Washington, Ruth Campbell of Stevensville, Merlin (Randi) Campbell of Corvallis, and Robert (Breta) Campbell of Roosevelt, Utah; his daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret Sperry of Corvallis and Karen (Don) Wandler of Stevensville; sixteen grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, two brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
