Edith Mae Walton

April 28, 1924 — June 19, 2009

CORVALLIS - Edith Mae Walton, 85, of Corvallis passed away Friday, June 19, 2009 at Community Medical Center in Missoula of natural causes. She was born April 28, 1924 in Lawrence, KS the daughter of Carl V. and Veryl Bloomquist.
- Edith graduated from Ogallala High School in Ogallala, NE. She married James T. Walton on November 12, 1947 in Reno, NV. Edith spent her life as a homemaker, caring for her family. She was a member of the Assembly of God church for many years. Edith enjoyed decorating the church for weddings or any social event; she was an organist at the church and also a Sunday school teacher.
- Our beloved wife and mother centered her life around her faith and belief in God. Her daily thoughts and efforts were focused on the well being of her family and others and never herself. There was never a task too great when it came to caring for others.
- Edith was preceded in death by her parents and most recently her daughter, Charolette Milay. She is survived by her husband, James Walton, of Corvallis; 3 sons, Jim Walton, Jr. of Hamilton, Craig Walton and wife Tamra of Hollister, CA and Chris Hall-Walton of Corvallis; her brother Jack Bloomquist of Kingman, AZ and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
- The family suggests that memorials be made in Edith's name to the American Cancer Society. Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com.
