ORVALLIS - Edmund Herman Auch of Corvallis peacefully went home to be with the lord on August 5th, 2014.
He was born on December 3rd, 1925 in Burt, North Dakota to Henry and Anna Auch. He grew up and helped on his family farm in Mott, ND. He served his country as an Army Sergeant in the Korean War. He met and married his wife of 61 years, Darlene Maier at the Bethel Baptist Church in Missoula. While living in Missoula and Lolo, Ed worked as a machinist. In 1971 the family moved to Corvallis where he was an animal caretaker at the RML in Hamilton. For the last 40 years Ed raised registered Angus cattle.
Ed was strong in his faith and attended church throughout his life. He had a tremendous passion for life and love of his family.
He is survived by his wife Dolly; his five sons, Allan (Sandra), Stacey (Marilyn), Marty (Kim), Dwight, Kelly (Melanie); 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Velma Wentz of Lemmon, SD and Ella Shields of Missoula, Mt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, 5 brothers, and infant daughter, Elizabeth Anna.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Marcus Daly Hospice or Mountain View Wesleyan Church.
