SULA - Edward C. Stanley, 79, of Sula passed away Monday, June 4, 2012 at his home of natural causes. He was born May 16, 1933 in Crown Point, NY the son of John Sr. and Sophia Stanilka. After high school Ed served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict until his honorable discharge in 1956. He spent most of his working years selling recreational vehicles and cars. Ed was married to Lois Stanley.
- He was a member of the Elks Club and the Eagles in Hamilton. Ed enjoyed cutting fire wood, hunting, fishing, camping with friends, the cow pasture golf tournament in Wisdom and he also enjoyed the Steele Creek area.
- Ed was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Suzanne; his brothers, Walter, Joe, Stan, Willard and Ben; and his sister, Helen. He is survived by his wife Lois of Sula; his brothers, John, Jr. of Crown Point, NY and Frank of Venice, Fl.
- - The family suggests that memorials be made in Ed's name to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
