Elsie L. Masterson

Elsie L. Masterson, 84 of Hamilton passed away November 10, 2011 at the Crest Nursing Home in Butte.
Elsie was born on October 1, 1927 in Big Timber, MT to Bert A Murray and Lula J Griffin.
She married Lyle (Bill) Masterson in Big Timber, MT on November 3, 1946. They raised seven children in the Bitterroot Valley. After Bill was injured in a logging accident in 1962, Elsie dedicated her life to caring for Bill and her children. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Elsie is survived by five sons Donald (Jean) and Gary (Linda) of Tillamook, OR, Kenneth (Karen) of Missoula, Dan of Butte, MT, Richard (Mike) of Seattle, WA and daughters Linda Vollhart (John) of Butte and Sharon Ball (Walt) of Havre; sister Shirley Day of Weiser, ID; sisters-in-law Jean Davidson of Stevensville, Doris Masterson and Shirley Masterson of Hamilton and brother-in-law Frank Masterson of Butte, a half brother, Dale Sandsness of Tulsa, OK, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, and two brothers, Jack and Tom Murray. She was raised by an uncle, Amos Davidson, also deceased.

- Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11:30 to 12:30 at the Daly-Leach Chapel.
Services will be held at Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton on Tuesday November 15 at 1:00 P.M. with interment following at Riverview Cemetery in Hamilton. A reception will follow at Daly-Leach Community Room. Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com.
