Eugene E. Simkins

Eugene E. Simkins, 80, of Superior passed away Monday, April 27, 2015 surrounded by his family at his home. He was born November 26, 1934 in Boulder, CO the son of Frank and Pearl (Dahl) Simkins.
- Gene was raised and educated in several places before his family moved to Montana when he was 12 years old. He began working in the logging industry at the age of 16 and continued for most of his life. Gene married Gwennyth Erickson in 1955 and together they had 5 children.
- He enjoyed fishing, playing music in his younger years and listening to music.
- Gene was preceded in death by Gwennyth; his son, Brian Simpkins; and 2 sisters. He is survived by 4 children, Becky Magone and husband Dale of Superior, Ben Simkins and wife Paula of Superior, Bonnie Mitchell and husband Larry of Kingman, AZ and Gary Simkins and wife Teresa of Superior; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers and 1 sister, and a very special friend who brought him lots of love.
- Cremation has taken place and private family services will be held 1:00 p.m. May 9th at the Lozeau home.
