Evan Xavior Dickerson

Evan Xavier Dickerson, 30, of Hamilton, Montana, unexpectedly passed away at his home on June 21, 2026. Born on January 31, 1996, in Hamilton, Montana, to Steven Dickerson and Krystal Cherill, Evan lived a life that touched many through his quiet compassion, gentle heart, and genuine love for both people and the world around him.

Evan was the kind of person who made others feel seen. He was kind, compassionate, accepting, giving, and content with life’s simple blessings. His calm spirit and gentle nature brought comfort to those around him, and he had a way of making people feel welcomed without judgment. He never sought recognition, yet his quiet acts of kindness left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

One of Evan’s greatest joys was being outdoors. He found peace in God’s creation and felt most at home among the mountains, forests, rivers, and open skies of Montana. Whether he was planting and tending to the earth, sleeping outside, sitting quietly in nature, or simply appreciating the beauty around him, he found joy in the simple gifts of creation. His love of prayer, meditation, and thoughtful conversation reflected his desire to live a life of purpose, peace, and gratitude. Evan’s faith in God was an important part of who he was and guided the way he lived—with humility, compassion, and love for others. His life was a beautiful reminder that kindness, gentleness, and a caring heart can leave an impact that lasts far beyond our time here.

Evan is survived by his father, Steven (Tracy) Dickerson; his siblings, Jack and Julia Battisti; his grandfather, Dennis Dickerson; his aunt, Debbe Dickerson; his cousins, Haley Skaggs and Payton Porter; his grandmother and grandfather, Sue and Gary Mosbrucker, his brother, Nicolas Heiden; Uncle, Kirby Cheryl; and many beloved extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Krystal Cherill, and his grandmothers, Dot and Sally.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Daly-Leach Memorial Chapel in Hamilton, Montana. Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we are deeply grateful for the love Evan shared during his life. His gentle smile, caring heart, quiet strength, and deep appreciation for the beauty of nature will continue to live on in the memories of those who knew and loved him.
