Farrell Johnson

Farrell Johnson, 71 of Hamilton, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Valley View Estates. H was born August 8, 1943 in Hamilton, MT., the son of the late Henry and Anna Johnson.
Farrell was raised in Hamilton. Farrell had a love for history and football while in high school. Farrell graduated in 1961 from Hamilton High.
On Sept. 22, 1993, Farrell married the love of his life, Linda Beedy. Farrell had a variety of jobs from logging to working in the Vermiculite Mine. He was then hired at Rocky Mountain Labs where he was a supervisor, retiring after 30 years.
Farrell was very active in the 4-H sheep program. He enjoyed helping the 4-H children with their sheep. Farrell was also involved in Son of Norway, where he was Vice-President and SGT at arms. Farrell was involved in the boxing club, as an amateur boxer, coach and corner man. He also had a love for gardening and growing roses.
Farrell was a very devoted husband, father and friend. He is survived by his wife Linda Johnson of Hamilton; children, David (Lisa) Beedy of Bozeman, Kat (Tess) Pederson of Divide, CO., Janet (Rob) Raymond of Corvallis, Dianne (Lee) Burkhardt of Hamilton.
He is also survived by his three nieces, Susan (John) Sandro of Battle Mountain, NV., GraceAnne Thompson of Corvallis and Becky (Jay) Evans of Hamilton; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Farrell's grandchildren, Amanda Vinson, Daniel Burkhardt, Lindsay Raymond and Matt Raymond. Honorary pallbearers are also grandchildren, Joncianne Beedy, Jordan Beedy, and Charity Kaufman.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 24th at the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton with Pastor Janet Malone officiating. A reception will follow at the First Presbyterian Church in Hamilton. Private family interment will take place at Riverview Cemetery in Hamilton.
