Fern Violet Nesja

Fern Violet Nesja, 94 of Hamilton passed away peacefully in her sleep Thursday, September 1 at her daughters' home in Helena.
Fern was born August 16, 1917 in Belfield, North Dakota daughter of the late Charles Gus and Ida Pauline Miller Gothmann.
She married Olaf T. Nesja in Boise, Idaho on July 6, 1946. The couple lived in Bismark before moving to Bozeman. Fern was a Nurse Anesthetist working at the hospital in Livingston. The couple moved to Hamilton in 1975, where she has resided since. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and was active in the church quilters.
Fern was a very strong woman and was known as a very generous and thoughtful person. She was a wonderful mother to her three daughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband Olaf, parents, brothers, Marvin and Roy and sisters Mildred, Marie and Ruth.
Surviving include her daughters, Carla Ruth (Joe) Cross of Helena, Eileen Janice (Edward) Allen of Harrison, MI., and Judith Elaine (Elmer) Graham of Milwaukee, OR.; grandchildren, Keith Cross, Kenneth Cross, Kelly Cross, Kimberly Kimball, Dana Allen, James Allen, Joseph Allen, Rhonda Cass, and Steffanie Hodges; 10 great grandchildren.
