Florence Ann (Holland) Olson, 78, of Hamilton, Montana, passed away on November 18, 2025. She was born on March 3, 1947, in Great Falls to Dan and Alleyne Holland and was raised in Simms, a community that remained an anchor throughout her life.

Florence married Dennis Olson on August 21, 1965, and together they recently marked 60 years of marriage. They built a life rooted in routine and family connection. They raised their only daughter, Darci, and later adopted their nephew, Dale.

For more than two decades, Florence worked at Herberger’s Department Store in Great Falls, serving as the Fragrance Counter Manager. She was known for her friendly nature and built many friendships during her years there.

She was an active member of the Simms United Methodist Church and found joy in the fellowship of her church. She was also an avid reader. She loved her book club which offered her companionship and conversation over the years. In the warmer months, she enjoyed camping at the lakes near Augusta with her husband and family.

Florence remained connected to her family throughout her life. She cared deeply for her children Darci and Dale, her son-in-law Ronnie, and her grandchildren Daniel and Desiree. She had a close, lifelong bond with her parents, who lived next door to her. She also maintained strong ties with her siblings, Danny and Kathleen, as well as with her extended family.

Florence is survived by her husband, Dennis of Hamilton; daughter Darci and son-in-law Ronnie Parsons of Florence, MT; granddaughter Desiree Parsons of Great Falls, MT; grandson Daniel Parsons of Seattle, WA; brother Danny Holland of Simms, MT; and sister Kathleen Purvis of Port Orchard, WA.

Florence will be remembered for the relationships she built, her warm personality, and the connections she carried with her throughout her life. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com.
