Florence Trollope

HAMILTON - Florence Trollope, 86, of Hamilton passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Arron Care Home in Corvallis, MT. She was born May 10, 1927 in Rabat, Morocco, the daughter of Raphael and Miriam Azoulay. She had five brothers, Jacke, Charles, Albert, David and Joseph.

Florence was raised in Casablanca, Morocco and in 1944 met her future husband, Clyde Trollope, a Sergeant in the US Army Air Corps.

Clyde returned home to Darby from WWII and saved for two years to bring Florence to the United States. In January of 1947, Clyde drove from Montana to Ellis Island in New York City to pick up his bride. Clyde and Florence drove to Chicago, Illinois where they were married and then continued on to Montana. Florence and Clyde were happily married 61 years.

Florence was a member for over 55 years and past officer of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary #407 in Hamilton and was active with the Eagles drill team.

Florence loved her garden, especially her roses. She and Clyde enjoyed fishing and camping with the many friends that they had made in all their travels. Florence stayed in contact with her large family in Morocco, Israel, and France and made many trips from Montana to visit.

Florence is survived by her four children; daughter Miriam and husband Phil Bergholm of Hamilton, MT, son Raymond and Kris Trollope of Corvallis, son Bob and Rayna Trollope of Stevensville, and daughter Linda Rowley of Hamilton; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and one brother.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Trollope and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Raymond Trollope, Bob Trollope, Phil Bergholm, Steve Trollope, Chuck Trollope and Adam Kraft.
