CORVALLIS, MT - Floy Freeman Cain, formerly of McGregor, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2012 in Hamilton, Montana at the age of 94. Mrs. Cain was born November 14, 1918 in Goodnight, Texas, daughter of the late John and Mary (McDowell) Cook.
On January 7, 1939 she married George Edwin Cain in Panhandle, Texas. After 60 years of marriage, he preceded her in death August 25, 1999.
While living in McGregor, Mrs. Cain worked successfully in retail sales for Sears in Waco and then in McGregor. When she moved to Dallas, she worked for J.C. Penney's at Northpark. In McGregor, Mrs. Cain was an active member of College Avenue Baptist Church where she faithfully served the Lord. When the Lord called her home she was a charter member of Solid Rock Baptist Church in Corvallis, Montana.
Also preceding her in death were two sons, Jerry D. Cain of Mesquite, Texas and Richard A. Cain of Cut Bank, Montana as well as three great grandchildren. Survivors include son Gene Cain and wife Linda of Corvallis, Montana; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Cain of Mesquite, Texas; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
