Frances Rosa Cornelisen

HAMILTON - Frances Rosa Cornelisen died at Valley View Estates in Hamilton on Friday, December 24, 2010.
She was born on a farm outside of Milbank, S.D. as the youngest of five children to Oscar and Lilla Damerow. Frances graduated from Milbank High School, where she met her future husband, Howard Cornelisen.
During WWII, Howard was inducted into the Army where he served in the European Theater. Prior to his leaving overseas, the couple was married in California. Frances and Howard were married for 66 years, until his death in 2008. During their life together, they had two children: Barbara Gibson, of Vancouver, Washington, and Marsha Reed, of Victor, Mt.
During the 1960's until her retirement years later, Frances worked at the First National Bank in Boulder, Colorado. Upon retirement, Frances and Howard retired in Loveland, Colorado for many years. Frances had a long life to see many changes, and see her family expand to five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that any donations be applied to the Grace Lutheran Church School.
