Frank Lipus, Jr.

HAMILTON - Frank Lipus, Jr., 88, of Hamilton passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital. He was born August 23, 1924 in Valier, IL the son of Frank, Sr. and Anna Lipus.
Frank enlisted into the US Navy on December 9, 1942 and served until his honorable discharge on February 24, 1945. He received a Purple Heart for his service to his country. Frank married Katherine Mae Gretchen on April 24, 1948. He retired from Sears Roebuck in 1978 as a service manager after 23 years.
Frank and Katherine moved to Hamilton in April of 2005. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Bernard and Tibor. Frank is survived by his wife, Katherine, of Hamilton; 2 children, daughter, Sandi Lipus of Hamilton and son, Frank Raymond Lipus and wife Georgianna of Hamilton; 2 granddaughters, Darcy Reichert of Hamilton and Tara Fisher and husband Joe of Spokane, WA; 3 great-granddaughters, Kaylee, Laci and Ali all of Spokane, WA; his sister, Dollie Sarantha of Orange County, CA; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial be made in Frank's name to the Veterans Organization of the donor's choice.
