Gary D. Mortemore, 81 of Darby passed away March 15, 2016 at the Marcus Daly Memorial Hospice in Hamilton.
Gary was born in Toledo, Ohio and lived in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He played college football for the Cincinnati Bear Cats, Glory Days!
He was predeceased by many and sadly by his beautiful wife Linda Lee Mortemore. Gary adored Linda and their love and life together was magical. He had four children, she had five. He adopted two of her children, one of which was by his side the last 5 years, Deborah Lee Sanders and his grandson, Jake aka “Sunshine”. One of the things that made Gary happy was watching Sunshine play football for the Darby Tigers. Happy trails to you... until we meet again!
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 9th at the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton with Pastor Doug Peterson officiating. A reception will follow in the chapel’s Community Room.
