LOLO - George Herbert Garnett III, a beloved uncle, pilot, flight instructor, and devoted student of the Bible, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2024. He was born on August 5, 1945, to George Herbert Garnett Jr. and Frances Garnett, he lived a life rich in faith, and the pursuit of knowledge.

Upon graduating from Victor High School, he furthered his education by attending the University of Montana/Western. His passion for aviation led him to a fulfilling career as a pilot and flight instructor, sharing his love and skills of flight with others. Beyond the skies, however, his greatest passion lay in the study of the Bible, a pursuit that deeply informed his life and shaped his character. He dedicated a significant portion of his time to exploring its teachings, finding solace, guidance, and a profound understanding of the world within its pages. This deep engagement also inspired him to write biblical poetry, a testament to his faith and artistic expression.

George will be remembered for his gentle spirit, lengthy dialogs and his unwavering faith. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, mentorship, and wisdom. He will be deeply missed by all of his friends, his family members and the many people he has had a positive impact on over the years.

A memorial service celebrating George’s life will be held at Lolo Community Church at 11:00 am on November 30, 2024 with a luncheon following at the church.  Interment will take place at the Victor Cemetery following the luncheon.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com.
