Gerald Frank Fiman, age 75, of Hamilton, MT died Aug. 24, 2013, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
He was a loving husband and is survived by his wife of 52 years, Karolynn L. Fiman (Weber). Jerry was born in Spokane, WA and was raised in Hamilton, a son of the late Frank and Iola Fiman.
A 1956 graduate of Hamilton High School, Jerry joined the Forest Services in the early 1960's and continued his Forestry career in Fire Management for the next 38 years. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, cribbage and golf. He was an avid sports fan and especially loved football (New England Patriots and U of M Grizzlies). He truly loved to socialize with his many and friends around the Bitterroot and beyond. He was a member of the Hamilton Eagles Lodge FOE 1693 for much of his adult life following in his father's footsteps. Although he was always a jokester with his family and friends, he would be the first to help anyone in need.
Jerry was the devoted father of Kimberly Fogarty (Fiman) of Bridgewater, MA, Lisa Fiman of Couer'D Alene, ID and Bradley Fiman of Cleburne, TX. He is also survived by his twin brother, Ronald Fiman and his wife Maxine of Olympia, WA. He leaves behind 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Please consider donations in Jerry's name to the Marcus Daly Hospice Endowment Fund, 1200 Westwood Dr., Hamilton, MT 59840.
