Hamilton - Gus "Skip" Conrad, 83 of Hamilton Montana, passed away quietly at Marcus Daly Hospital, December 27, 2013, surrounded by his family.
Skip was born in Portland Oregon on Nov 11, 1930. He graduated from Upper Lake High School in 1949. Skip served in the US Army from 1952-1954 as a Military Policeman. Skip worked for the Corps of Engineers for 22 years as a Maintenance Supervisor at Lake Mendocino, before retiring and moving to Hamilton, Montana. Skip enjoyed team-roping, hunting and fishing and just being in the great outdoors.
Skip is survived by his wife of 62 years Eileen Conrad of Hamilton; son, Jeff Conrad of Corvallis; daughter, Corine Corbin of Spokane WA; grandchildren, Danielle and Spencer Corbin of Spokane WA; and his sister, Lorraine Cummings of Carson City NV.
No public services are scheduled. Arrangements are under the care of the Daly-Leach Chapel.
