Guy Legrande Brasel

Guy LeGrande Brasel, 55 of Corvallis passed away January 26, 2013 of his battle with cancer.

Guy was born January 12, 1958 in Casper, Wyoming to Carol and Robert Brasel.
He was raised in Missouri with his three sisters Carla, Camille, Charlene, and brother Myron.
After his mother and father divorced he moved to Las Vegas with his mother. He met and married his wife Vanessa in 1976. They have a son Damian Brasel of Las Vegas.
He enjoyed many vocations throughout his work history. Guy started his career working for the Culinary Union in Las Vegas at Caesar's Palace. After getting married, he joined the National Guard, Shortly thereafter; he moved the family to Oregon. He worked as a supervisor for Sheldon Manufacturing. They manufactured incubators and ovens for the medical industry. Working at Sheldon's taught him many of his skills he used throughout his career in management, manufacturing, and welding.
While in Oregon, he opened his own Specialty Glass business manufacturing glass block panels and creating beautiful etched and carved glass. Some of his work can be seen around Portland to this day. He returned to Las Vegas and worked as a dealer and then became a floor supervisor for Circus Circus, Corp. He became disillusioned with the gambling business and decided to go to school for HVAC. After graduating, he was employed for a company that serviced the air conditioning for health clubs in Nevada and Arizona. He was injured on the job, which changed his career plans. He then moved the family to the Bitterroot Valley to finally settle and be near his parents. He started his own business LeGrande Enterprises, manufacturing his own equipment for the HVAC industry. This was his true passion, he enjoyed working for himself engineering and manufacturing his own equipment.
Guy enjoyed studying American History. He had a deep love for his country and servicemen. He was baptized LDS. Guy lived his life happily on his "little hill" in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Vanessa Brasel of Corvallis, MT; son, Damian Brasel and grandson, Christian Brasel of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Camille (John) Smith of OH; sister, Carla Bowen of AZ; brother, Myron (Beverly) Brasel of MO; aunts, Margie Prowse and Naomi Powell of Corvallis, MT; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Guy asked for private burial. He wanted to be remembered as he was in life. The family requests that any donations or memorials be sent to Marcus Daly Hospice.
