Harold F. Stanton

CONNER - Harold F. Stanton, 78, of Conner passed away Sunday, August 25, 2013 at his home. He was born April 7, 1935 in Hamilton, the son of the late Harold B. and Frances G. Stanton.
Harold entered the U.S. Army and was stationed in Frederick, MD where he met his future wife, Jane Blackson. They married in Havre de Grace, MD and would have celebrated their fifty-first anniversary this Saturday, August 31.
Harold received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Montana State University. He worked for Pacific Power and Light Company for 20 years in various locations in Montana, Wyoming and Washington.
After retirement, Jane and Harold moved to Conner. He was a member of the ARRL for sixty years and St. Philip Catholic Church in Darby for 23 years.
Harold is survived by his wife, Jane, of Conner; his daughter, Amy and her husband Robert Nelson of Seattle, WA; his son, Will Stanton and his wife Emily of Salt Lake City, UT; 2 grandchildren, Sam and Claire of Seattle; and brother-in-law, Herb Blackson of Austin, TX.
The family suggests that memorials be made in Harold's name to Doctor's without Borders or to the Salvation Army.
