Helen Agnes Blakely

August 2, 1952 — March 16, 2015

Helen Agnes Blakely, 62 of Missoula passed away at her sister's home in Corvallis of Ovarian Cancer March 16, 2015.
She was born August 2, 1952 in Townsend, Montana the daughter of Charley H. and Helen Erma Blakely. She graduated from Anaconda High School and then attended the Butte Vo-Tech.
Helen started working at ORI (Opportunity Resources) in 1977 and was still employed part time at the time of her passing. Helen had many jobs from Woodworking, the Housecleaning team at Campus Inn and Holiday Inn in Missoula and the ORI Fair Booth. After many years of working in the Community she chose to work in the Product Assembly Line at ORI. She got along well with her staff and co-workers. Helen was kind to others and strove to be positive even when she was having a difficult day emotionally. All the staff that worked with her at ORI appreciated her willingness to try new jobs and to complete tasks with high quality. Helen was a social butterfly and always made a point to say hello and talk with her friends. She enjoyed connecting with others she cared about and would always lend a helping hand if they needed it. Helen talked a lot about her family and cared about them deeply. She had a good sense of humor, a contagious laugh and was fiercely independent. Helen was a kind lady and will be missed by all who knew her.
Helen was preceded in Death by her father Charley; nieces, Dara and Sharla Litvin.
Survivors include her mother, Helen E. Blakely of Hamilton; aunt Bertha Whaley and son (Richard) of Missoula; brother, Richard (Dick) Blakely and his wife Susan of Cle Elum Wa; sister, Connie Litvin of Corvallis; nieces, Whitney Curtis and husband Kyp and daughter Sydonia of Victor, Pamela Tjensvoll and sons Noah, Ashtin, and Carter of CDA, Id., Jennifer Black (Dan) and daughter Sydney of Sheridan, WY; nephews, Blake Blakely, Brad Herriges (Cara) and daughter Alexis of Seattle, Sean Herriges (Miho) sons Andy and Nicky of Sapporo Japan. Special cousins, Beverly (Gordon) Sorenson of Missoula, Mark Cash of Missoula, Janet (Steve) Kirsky of Townsend, Dave Rupple and daughter Tammy of Phoenix, Az.
Thank you for the Love and Kindness of her dear friend Elizabeth Farnham and all Helen's friends and staff at ORI (Opportunity Resources) Missoula.
Helen's family wishes to express deep appreciation for the care and hugs given by Dr. Beatty, Nurses and Staff at the Community Cancer Center.
Thank you to Marcus Daly Hospice for their kindness during Helen's final days.
Services will be held Tuesday April 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Missoula, Pastor Doug Peterson will officiate. Private Burial will follow at the Corvallis Cemetery. A Reception will follow the Service at the Church.

Helen loved her family and friends dearly. She never missed wishing happy birthdays, happy holidays or simply welcoming us home. We will miss her phone calls to check in and see how we are doing. "I'm Gonna let you go". "Tuttz's" caring spirit and love will remain in our hearts forever.
