Helen E Blakely passed away due to natural causes the morning of August 11, 2015 in Hamilton with her daughter by her side.
Helen was born February 17, 1923 in Windsor CO. to Dave Rupple and Anna (Schneider) Rupple.
She married Charley Hart Blakely on Sept.21, 1940 in Townsend, Mt. In 1941Charley went to Aeronautics School and they moved to Cheyenne, WY to work with United Airlines for 8 years, Mom was like Rosy the Riveter!! She had some interesting stories to tell about that time. They moved back to Montana in 1949, lived and farmed in Townsend, Columbia Falls, Corvallis, Hamilton and Anaconda, then back to Hamilton in 1971. While living in Anaconda Helen work for 12 years as a CNA/LPN at Warm Springs State Hospital. Together they had 3 children, they divorced in 1985 and Helen moved to Missoula to live near her youngest daughter Helen A. While living in Missoula Helen worked caring for people in their homes in Missoula and Hamilton. She had a very caring Heart for the Elderly. Because of failing health Helen moved back to Corvallis in 2010 to be near her daughter and Family. November 2012 she moved into Discovery Care Center. The family deeply appreciates the care Helen received from the staff, Nurses and CNA's at Discovery.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents Anna and Dave Rupple; her daughter, Helen A of Corvallis, the father of her children, Charley; 5 Sisters, 5 Brothers and 2 Granddaughters (Sharla and Dara).
Helen is survived by her sister, Bertha Whaley of Missoula; her son, Richard (Susan) Blakely and grandchildren Blake Blakely of Cle Elum, WA, Jennifer (Dan) Black and daughter Sydney of WY, Brad (Cara) Herriges and daughter Alexis, of Seattle, WA, Sean (Miho) Herriges and sons Andy and Nicky of Sapporo, Japan; her daughter, Connie Litvin of Corvallis and grandchildren Whitney (Kyp) Curtis and daughter Sydonia, Pamela Litvin and sons Noah, Ashtin and Carter CDA, ID and many special nieces and nephews.
Private Graveside service will be held at a later date.
