Helen Katherine Errett

Helen Katherine Errett, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away at home surrounded by family on April 1, 2023.

Helen was born to Kenneth and Helen Patterson on August 31, 1940, in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, the youngest child with older brothers Ken and Paul.  After high school, Helen started working for the State Police with her aunt Katherine.

Helen married Isaac Errett in 1960 and they had five children.  Isaac and Helen moved around the country for several years before settling in Montana.  Camping and skiing were favorite activities.  Helen’s main role was mother and homemaker.  She was a skilled cook and excellent baker.

After Helen and Isaac divorced in 1986, she moved back to Greensburg for several years before moving to and settling in Hamilton, MT in 1992.  There she found work at the Hamilton Senior Center and later Discovery Care Center until retirement.  She enjoyed working with seniors and the many close friendships made with coworkers.

Helen enjoyed gardening, traveling, painting, and spending time with pets and family.

Helen is survived by her five children; Susan, Bruce, Jeff (Vaia), Jennifer, and John, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Private family internment will take place in Riverview Cemetery in Hamilton on Wednesday April 5th, 2023.  A reception will follow at her daughter’s house from 3-6 pm.  All friends and family are welcome.
