CORVALLIS - Helen Bauman Wight 86, of Corvallis passed away January 19, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was born April 21, 1926 in Clearmont, Wyoming the daughter of Charles and Ethel (Davis) Miller. Helen's family moved from Wyoming to Hamilton when she was a child.

Helen began her career at Marcus Daly Hospital in 1947. While working at the hospital she met Otto Bauman. They married October of 1949 in Missoula after which they moved to a ranch at Carmen, Idaho. A few years later they purchased a ranch at Tendoy, Idaho where they raised their family. Otto was killed in an automobile accident December 31, 1964. Helen and her children with the help of neighbors continued working the ranch for three more years. In 1967 Helen moved with her children to Victor to be closer to her family. She returned to her former employer, Marcus Daly Hospital, where her career spanned to 30 plus years of service. Her favorite past time was hunting arrowheads at Lake Como, going to rodeos and planning big family BBQs.

She was preceded in death by both parents; sisters, Alice, Doris, and Nina; brothers, Frank, Charles, Donald, Carl and Fred; and son, John. She is survived by sisters, Glen (Tex) Winkleblack of Boise, Idaho and Roberta Brown of Corvallis; children, Donald Davidson of Lucus, KS, Connie (Terry) Gartner of Filer, ID, Steve (Luanne) Bauman of Corvallis, Sue (Steve) Vukasin of Great Falls and Barbara (Ron) Hitchcock of Westerville, OH; as well as eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
