Hoyt A. L. "Mike" Jones

VICTOR - Hoyt A. L. "Mike" Jones of Victor, MT passed away December 5, 2015 at the Discovery Care Centre in Hamilton.
He was born February 4, 1938 to Hoyt Sanders Jones and Jenny Louise Bronaugh in Perry, OK, and was raised in Corona, CA, the oldest of four siblings.

Mike married Geraldine Wallace in 1958 and raised two sons who survive him; Michael Jones, his wife Tiffany and their daughter, Silken of San Clemente, CA & Darrel Jones and his wife Denise of Corvallis, MT.
He started his career with Western Electric shortly after graduating high school, enjoying a substantial career, retiring from the parent company AT&T after 32 years of service with the phone company.

Following his retirement he enjoyed being a self-employed handyman until moving to Montana in the year 2000 to be near his son. It was following his move to Victor, MT that he found time to pursue his interests in music, playing his guitar in several of the local bars, honky-tonks and various events in the community.

Mike was an active member of the Hamilton Lions Club serving as club secretary for many years before illness overcame him. He was awarded the Presidents Appreciation Award this past year for his long, outstanding service to the club, of which his family is extremely proud.

According to his wishes, his remains will be cremated and scattered at sea during a private family ceremony at a later date.
