June 10, 1966 — April 21, 2017

Ivan George Buhler, 50, of Hamilton passed away Friday, April 21 at his residence with family at his side. He was born on June 10, 1966 in Torrance, California, the son of Pamela Stewart.

Ivan lived in Montana all his life.  He graduated from Hamilton High School.  He worked at Ravalli Services in the Intake Department for over twenty years.

Ivan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Norval and Ileen Stewart; his aunts, Barbara Sourbrine and Dixie Page.

Ivan is survived by his mother, Pamela in Hamilton; sister’s, Misty Stewart in Hamilton; Kimberlie Marquardt of Missoula and her children Jessica, Frankie, Daggon, and Treton; aunts, Wanda Burkhart of Hamilton; Penny Stone of Hamilton; uncles, Bill Stewart and wife Judith of Corvallis; Richard Sourbrine of Victor; Dale Burkhart and George Tomkins of Hamilton. Ivan is also survived by numerous cousins.

Ivan’s Grandma Stewart taught him to be a gentleman, but he was quite a flirt.  Ivan was a caregiver of all his roommates at the duplex where he lived.  His best friends were Ethan. Tom, along with his fishing buddy, Sebastian.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 29th at 10 a.m. at Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton, with a gathering of friends and family at the Woodside Grange in Corvallis afterwards.

Private interment will be held at Riverview Cemetery at a later date.

The family would like to thank Susan Reynolds for her exceptional care during and at the time of Ivan’s passing and Compassus Hospice of Missoula.
