HAMILTON - Jacqueline "Jackie" Lea Scriver, 79, of Hamilton passed peacefully from complications of a stroke on August 7th, 2024, joining her beloved husband, Jim.

Jackie was born in Southgate, California on May 20th, 1945 to Ray E. Snodgrass and Mary Beatrice Snodgrass.  She attended Arroyo Highschool graduating in 1963.  Jackie was a lover of travel and adventure.  She took time off after graduating high school to make a solo trip to travel through Europe.

In 1967 she married James Robert Scriver, a sergeant in the Marine Corp based in Camp Pendleton near Oceanside, California.  They met on a blind date and the rest was history.

Jim had strong ties to the state of Montana as he was born and raised outside Browning.  Eventually they moved back to the Flathead Valley in 1980 and raised two girls, Jann and Jenifer.  Jackie held various jobs throughout her life, but always maintained that her most important job was raising her two girls.  Jackie was also very spiritual and taught Sunday school early on.  Her love of God and the Bible kept her positive and loving, and she was excited to spread the word of God.

Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Mary B Snodgrass, and her husband, James Robert.  She is survived by her daughter, Jann L. Burgess of Missoula, MT, Jenifer R. Scriver-Keefauver(Thad Keefauver) of Duvall, Washington, and her 3 grandchildren: Hannah I. Higgins(Remy Orrantia) of Missoula, Montana,  Ryan J. Higgins(Anna Higgins) of Missoula, MT, and Elise M. Keefauver of Duvall, Washington.

Jackie had a vibrant personality that would naturally draw people to her. She loved being in nature and taking long walks in the woods.  She was an avid reader and absorbed every John Grisham novel that she could get her hands on. She always had a smile and will be forever remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

A gathering for family and friends will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Daly-Leach Chapel.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com.
