Corvallis - Our most loving, compassionate and loyal Jake Rowley was taken from us by a tragic, accidental drowning, early Tuesday morning, October 20, 2009.

Jaker left us to begin his new journey within the secure embrace of our awaiting 'passed' loved ones. Our lives here will be forever changed by his departure and we will eagerly look forward to the time when we can once again smother him with hugs and kisses.

Jake has many passions and amazing talents. His natural aptitude for creativity fueled his love of writing, music and film making. One of the lucky few who found his niche early, Jake hoped to make writing his life long career.

Jake has warmed many hearts and lives in his short 19 years. He cares deeply for friends and family always making them the priority in his life; offering anything and everything he has to give. Jake is unafraid to show his love for those he cares for and is nonjudgmental to whomever he meets. We are all very fortunate to have been touched by such a beautiful, unselfish soul.

We will miss our beloved Jake, his clever humor and his sweet smile more than we can comprehend at this time. Dearest Jake, until we meet again. . .

Jake is survived by his parents, Brad and Natalie Park; sisters, Sarah Rowley, Jordi (Brian) Snow and Brittany (Jake Hayes) Park; his two favorite little people nieces Maia and Halle; grandparents, Ralph and Linda Benson and Terry and Janice Park; Aunts and Uncles, Val Purkiss, Shawn Benson, Jacen (Annette) Benson, Bryn (Morris) Shepherd, Nate (Sharalen) Benson and Carson (Jessica) Benson; numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his loving grandma, Ruth Richmond, Grandma Carmichael, aunt Teralee, uncle Jim and cousin Chase.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the "Jake Rowley Scholarship Fund", c/o First Security Bank, P.O. Box 393, Hamilton, MT 59840. The fund will be used to benefit future young film makers like Jake through the Media Arts Institute (MAPS).
