James S. Cooley, Sr.

CORVALLIS - James S. Cooley Sr., 77, of Corvallis, MT. passed away Thursday, November 29th, at ST. Patrick's hospital from complications of respiratory failure due to Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was born September 21, 1935 in Wallace, Idaho.

Jim was a Senior Chief in the United States Navy and served 22 A½ years active service. He married Roberta Price on June 21, 1957 in North Carolina. Their marriage was later sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on June 18th, 1976.

After retiring in 1974, Jim and family moved to Corvallis MT. He served in various callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, John and Beth Cooley; sister, Nettie Brown; and twin brothers, Donald and Douglas. Jim is survived by the love of his life, Roberta "Bert"; three children, Diana (Wes) Matson, Jim Jr. (Susie) and Lee Ann (Ron); 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Jim loved to fish, tying his own flies, golf and "shoot the breeze" with his friend Bob and anyone else who would listen.
