James Gilbert Humphreys

In Loving Memory of James Gilbert "Gil" Humphreys.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Jim/Gil Humphreys on February 28, 2025 at the age of 87. He was a devoted father, husband, son, brother, and friend whose love, guidance, and humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Born on April 15, 1937 in Harlem, Mt., Jim dedicated his life to his family. He was known for his strong work ethic, kindness, and unwavering support of the community. Jim spent many years of service to the local Eagles, provided tax services to the Hamilton Senior Center, and was a founding member of the Bitterroot Barnstormers Club. Jim/Gil is survived by his children John and Cinda Humphreys, Joyce and Ross Hughes, Juanita and Jon Taurman, Jonah and Brenda Humphreys, his many grandchildren, two brothers and a sister. He was proceeded in death by his parents, his devoted wife Mary Ann, eldest son Jimmy Humphreys, and two sisters.

A private family service will be held to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bitterroot Special Olympics.

Dad, your legacy of love and strength will forever live on in our hearts. Rest in peace.
