James N. (Jim) Robbins was born in Cyclone, Missouri August 14, 1921 and passed away August 4, 2012 at St. Patrick's Hospital in Missoula. His wife, Audrey, passed away in 1983.
Jim moved with his mother and father to Montana from Missouri where he grew up in Ennis. He went into the CC's and from there enlisted in the U. S. Army. After his service he was a fuel truck driver in Portland, Oregon where he met his wife to be. They moved to Hamilton, Montana and continued to reside there. Jim was manager of Teslow Feeds in Hamilton for years. Jim was active in his music. He played guitar and later bass guitar with various groups. He copied music in his own script so that everyone could play the old tunes. In his younger years he played at various functions with his friend Lloyd on fiddle. Through his music, he touched many people over the years.
- Jim is survived by his two sons Gary (Pat) in Ontario, Oregon and Gayle (Barbara) in Missoula, Montana. He is also survived by six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Also his care giver and friend, Gil, who helped him for six years.
- No public services are scheduled. Arrangements are under the care of the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton.
Jim will be remembered as a friend to all and a most generous person".
