Hamilton – Jane B. Banner, 81 of Hamilton passed away peacefully, Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at her home.

Jane was born November 30, 1934 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late David and Julia Briggs Baker Jr.  She attended Friends Academy (A Quaker School) and graduated from High School in Wellfleet, Massachusetts.

Jane married Robert Banner on August 15, 1963 in Tully, New York.  She was employed in the ski industry, worked in sales in the clothing industry in New York and was a retail store owner in Provincetown, Mass.  She was partner in home and ranch and the greatest mother in the world.  Jane was a kind and talented person who had a great love of the sea where she worked as a commercial scuba diver.

Jane’s was an artist, painter, sculptor and weaver.  She was an accomplished horsewoman, homemaker and historian of both Cape Cod and Montana.  Jane was active in the Charlos Heights Community Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.

Jane is survived by her husband, Robert; son, Todd R. Banner and wife Kate of Sun River, MT; daughter, Tabitha R. Banner Younkin and husband Jeff of Hamilton; 7 grandchildren, Macall, Mackenzie, McCoy, Will, Gage, Avery and Anna; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Jane’s life will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 15th at the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton with Pastor Martin Lien officiating.  The family suggests memorials to Marcus Daly Hospice, 1200 Westwood Dr., Hamilton, MT 59840.
