DARBY - The Bitterroot Valley lost an icon in the early morning hours of July Fourteenth. Jane Stettner lived, loved, and thrived in our valley for much of the ninety-six years of her colorful life. She attended Adventist High School in Kalispell, worked as a nurse in Pendleton Oregon, and met and married Emil Stettner. She loved the mountains, the Seattle Seahawks, and her garden the most!
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil; son, Bill; sister, Dorothy; brother, Philip; and parents, William and Florence Wolfenbarger. Jane is survived and will be dearly missed by her son, Ron Stettner; brother, Tom Wolfinbarger; grandsons, Josh and Dave; and granddaughters, Amber and Jessica. A graveside service will be tentatively scheduled in August. Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com.
