Jean Heydon Penrod

Hamilton - Jean Virginia (Heydon) Penrod, 94, of Hamilton, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Discovery Care Center in Hamilton. She was born May 3, 1920 in Comertown, MT the daughter of Jack and Elizabeth Roach.

Jean married Cecil Heydon in August of 1939 in Shelby, MT and together they had four children. They moved to the Bitterroot Valley in 1968 and Cecil passed away in 1976. Jean loved to square dance and that is how she met Glenn Penrod. They were married in November of 1983 and he passed away January 6, 1990.

She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church for many years where she taught the Bethel Series. She participated in numerous bible studies throughout the years. She was an aid at the Grantsdale School for many years. In later years, Jean became a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an older brother, Jack Roach.

Surviving include her children, Jim (Lynn) Heydon of Missoula, MT., Steve (Betty Ann) Heydon of Madris, OR., Paul (Corrine) Heydon San Antonio, TX., and Sara (Joe Domin) Heydon of Rock Port, TX; brothers, Jim Roach, Arthur Roach and Bill (Joan) Roach; 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.
