Hamilton - Jerry Travis Jerome was born June 13, 1933 in Choteau, MT to Stacy Travis and Hattie Poore Jerome.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nora Holland; grandson, Gabe Jerome, and nephew, Stephen Suden.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years Mary Ann Wells Jerome; sons, Randy (Penny) Jerome, Kelly (Connie) Jerome; daughter, Mischelle (Rick) Schelske; step daughters, Shawna Boller and Tanya (Robert) Elkins; Beloved grandchildren, Joshua (Nikki), Jesse (Krystal) and Jay Jerome, Josiah (Cassie), Hannah and Jorri Jerome, Jesse and Ryan Boller; Great grandchildren, the "twinkle" in his eye, Nolan, Jeren, Josie, and Nalyssa Jerome, Micah and Gabriel Jerome; brother Gale (Florence) Jerome, sisters, Karen (Gary) Suden, Lois (Phil) Ranf, Walt Holland and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jerry attended schools in Little Belt Creek, Armington, Great Falls, Smith River, Ulm, Austin, Townsend and Helena, Graduating from Helena High School in 1952.
Jerry was enlisted in the United States Air Force serving from 1952 to 1956. Rated as a sharp shooter in basic training in MS, Jerry was stationed in California and was a Control Tower Operator at Ellsworth Air force Base in SD.
Jerry was married to Dorothy Dell Stevens, the mother of his 3 children and they later divorced.
He worked for the Telephone Company as a Facilities Planner Outside Plant Engineer from 1956 to 1983. After retirement he did contract engineering in CA, OR, WA and ID which allowed he and Mary to have many adventures. Jerry was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, and 50 year member of the Elks Lodge 383.
In Jerry's later years, he accepted Jesus Christ as His Lord and Savior and was baptized. He attended CMA church and was "the unofficial table saver" Jerry would exit church about 5 minutes early to save tables at the Coffee Cup CafAC., for fellowship with his beloved Christian friends.
Jerry loved going for drives, hunting, fishing, and camping, snowmobiling, four-wheeling and eating breakfast at Memories CafAC. with his family and friends.
He was artistically gifted and loved to sketch caricatures. Jerry was quick witted with a great sense of humor his entire life. He will be sorely missed by his family but we rejoice that we will see him again.
