Jesse James Ricky Hetland

CORVALLIS – Jesse James Ricky Hetland, 31, of Corvallis, Montana, passed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 6th, 2025.

Jesse was born on April 4, 1994, in Hamilton, Montana to Shelly Bourne and Jim Hetland. Jesse attended grade school for a short time in Corvallis, Montana and Leadore, Idaho. He then spent the rest of his grade school and high school years in Darby, Montana. After graduating from Darby High School in 2013, he spent some time with family in Texas and Idaho gaining experience in different trades. However, his love for the Bitterroot Valley ultimately brought him home – where his heart truly belonged.

Jesse loved being outdoors and living life wide open- riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, and spending time at the lake. But more than anything, he loved spending time with his family, especially his children, who were the light of his life.

Jesse will be remembered for his affectionate smile and the warmth he brought into every room, especially during family gatherings. He loved to make everyone laugh. His magnetic personality, heartfelt hugs, and unwavering love for those closest to him will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jesse is survived by his mother, Shelly (William) Bourne and father, Jim Hetland; son, Jack Hetland; girlfriend, Tanni Morris and their daughters, McKenna Hetland and Jaylee Hetland, stepson, Ryker Morris; brothers, Chase Hetland and Ty Hetland, sister, Shyanne (Brenden) Lara, and stepsister, Carly (Christian) VonRuden; Grandparents, Rick and MaryAnn Scheele, David and Dorene Henry, Duane and Monarae Whipple, and Myron and Darlene Hetland. He was a fun and playful uncle and will be missed by his nieces, Elena Lara, Aubrey Lara, Codi VonRuden, and nephew Cooper VonRuden. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins that he loved so much.

The family is planning a celebration of life to be held later this summer.
