Joan B. Koelling

CORVALLIS - Joan B. Koelling, 79, of Corvallis passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Valley View Estates. She was born Sept. 26, 1932 in Chicago, ILL the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Berthold) Markl.

Joan graduated from high school in 1950. She married George L. Koelling on March 13, 1973 in Chicago. Joan was a department manager in a large retail store for most of her working years. She enjoyed gemology, jewelry making and yard sales. Joan was also an avid reader.

She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Betty Zmich and her parents. Joan is survived by her husband George of Corvallis; her step-mother, Rosa Markl of San Diego, CA; her brother-in-law, Joe Zmich of Addison, ILL; 3 daughters, Jan of Las Vegas, NV, and Teri and Kim of Illinois; 3 step-children, Bruce and Malia of Illinois and Keith of Florida; and 15 grandchildren, which includes one set of triplets and 2 sets of twins.
