John Anthony Bann

August 13, 1941 — August 5, 2015

John Anthony Ban of Hamilton, Montana lost his battle with cancer on August 5, 2015 with his wife of 50 years by his side.
John was born August 13, 1941 in Pomona, California to the late Nikola and Pauline (Bellezza) Ban. He graduated from Chino High School, in Chino, California in 1960. John became a heavy equipment owner/operator in Southern California, and lived in Arcadia, California for 30 years. John's construction career included large jobs located in Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Utah and Colorado. John retired from the Operating Engineers Local 12 Union in 2002 after 38 years, and settled in Hamilton in 2007.
John was preceded in death by his brothers George, Carl and Paul. Survivors include his wife, Mary (Trueblood); son Jeff and wife Ana, daughter Lori Pollard and husband Cary; grandchildren Nico and Logan Ban, and Makenzie and Parker Forrest all of Glendora, California; sister-in-law Jennie Ban and several nieces and nephews.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the PADRE Foundation (Pediatric-Adolescent Diabetes Research Foundation) in the honor of John Ban; PADRE: 1201 W. LaVeta Ave., Orange, CA 92868.
