HAMILTON - John Antone Bertolero, 84, of Hamilton passed away Monday, May 2, 2022 at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula. Born on April 6, 1938, to Leo and Marguerite Bertolero, in Lead South Dakota.
He grew up in Spearfish Canyon, graduating from Lead High School and attended the University of Wyoming. John resided in Las Vegas, Nevada for many years. He had a home in Montana for the past 35 years.
He was employed in the Nevada gaming industry until the age of 81. He loved golfing, cowboy boots, casinos, and people.
Many will remember some of his sayings: "caught lightening in a jar", "Just make you want to puke", "couldn't track an elephant with a bloody nose", "there goes another apple-knocker", and "a road map & a ham sandwich is all you get!"
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Daly-Leach Chapel Community Room.
