John William O'Mailia

VICTOR - John William O’Mailia, 73, of Victor went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at his home of natural causes.  He was born August 17, 1951 in FairPlay, CO the son of John and Mable O’Mailia.

John moved to Montana as a young man and became a leathersmith as well as a gold prospector.  After meeting his wife, Katie, they moved to Long Beach, CA and he became an electrician.  He worked in the shipyards of Long Beach, CA for many years before moving back to Montana to start his own business.  After retirement as an electrician, he became a missionary and loved preaching the gospel.

John was preceded in death by his parents John and Mable (Lamping) O’Mailia; and grandsons, Keenan and Zechariah.  He is survived by his wife, Catherine; children, Nina, Sarah and Elijah; grandchildren, Amiyah, Isaiah, Ethan, Zander and Kelsey; siblings, David, Victoria and Donald as well as many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held announced in the near future at Christ’s Bible Church in Hamilton with a reception following at the church.
